I spent every spare moment today working on the airplane. This is so much fun.

I riveted sixteen AN426AD3-7 for the tiedown nutplates after priming the parts late last night. I won’t bolt these down yet, waiting on the 3/8-16 tap (come on, Amazon!).

And the left:

0.5 as of 7:30am, 16 rivets so far.

After a busy day at work, I got back out to the garage. With a couple hours between now and when my eyes would close on their own, I decided to tackle the prep and priming for the two rear spars.

Because I was intent on getting through it, I didn’t take many pictures. I did manage to grab a shot of the right spar’s outer reinforcement plate during prep.

Then, after deburring, scuffing, cleaning, etc. I was able to get a shot of primer on the rear spar components.

This picture is just one of the two spars worth of parts (except the actual spar).

Total was 2.5 hours today, 16 rivets. Half an hour on the tiedowns, then two hours to get the rear spars prepped and primed. Riveting tomorrow!
