Matchdrilling Ribs to Spars

I had a goal today to matchdrill the skins, but I ended up with less time than I thought, so I shifted gears to getting the ribs matchdrilled to the spars.

I don’t have a good picture of that, so here’s one from yesterday showing that I transferred the tiedown hole. I don’t know why I didn’t post it yesterday, but here you go.

See how the two black lines intersect at the hole for the tiedown (that I marked, drilled, and started to enlarge)?

I’m getting to the point where I’m going to start getting stuff together permanently, and since the ER tanks are a little different, I need to make sure I keep good situational awareness.

My remaining list for the wings:

  1. Countersink all spar attach holes for ER and Std fuel tanks. Install nutplates.
  2. Drill skins to final size.
  3. Disassemble all.
  4. Deburr and dimple skins.
  5. Debur and Dimple ribs, rear spar
  6. Rivet ribs to spars.
  7. Temp Install ER and Std Tanks
  8. Top Main Skin Riveting
  9. Build ER and Std Tanks

1.0 hour so far booked against the ribs (for matchdrilling to spars).

I'm too lazy to fill this out. If you are actually reading this, send me a message, and I'll spend some effort on it.
