Well, I had a special guest visitor today, my DAD!
He was in town and eager to learn about the airplane, so of course I immediately handed him the rivet gun and we blasted off.
No pictures of most of the work, but after 2 hours worth of spar and rib riveting, we flipped the wing up on its belly so I could reach the rear spar skin rivets.

After we finished, we pulled the blue vinyl off the wings and just basked in the glory.

Here’s the left wing (thanks Tom).

Then like an hour or two later, I came back out to admire it some more.

One more shot!

I lied, how it’s one more shot.

I think the following math is 14 colums of 20 rivets, 13 on the inboard rib, then 130 each for the main spar and rear spar.

Thanks, dad, that was a blast. And no mistakes!
553 total rivets, only 2 drilled out (okay, two mistakes).
