Short day today. Well, short on topic. Long on hours.
After prepping the main ring ribs the other day, I decided that the next steps were to…
- Cleco wing skins including doublers
- Fit and drill ER tank to spar.
- Drill skins to final size.
- Transfer tiedown hole onto ER tank.
- Drill rib attach holes to spar.
- Disassemble all
- Countersink all spar attach holes. Install nutplates.
- Dimple the ribs with a hand squeezer. Dimple rear spar.
- Deburr, prime, rivet ribs to spars.
- deburr and dimple skins.
- Temp Install LE and Tanks
- Top Main Skin Riveting
- Build LE and Tanks
So, I got to work, but neglected the camera. Here’s a single shot of getting all 8 wing skins clecoed to the skeleton, with the ER tanks just resting in position.

2.0 hours of clecoing. My wrist is tired.
